Brief History Of The Unit :

Situated in a small town Jaysingpur, Laxminarayan Malu High School is one of the branches of NES Kolhapur. Laxminarayan Malu High School boasts to be the first High school in Shirol taluka. It was established in 1943 to impart the education to the students in rural area. In the beginning the high school was named as ‘The New English’ & was held in Gandhi Building near Jaysingpur railway station. The name was changed & the school was renamed as Jaysingpur High School Jaysingpur.

The famous entrepreneur in Jaysingpur. Late Laxminarayan Malu left no stone unturned in the establishment of the highschool.Besides giving his valuable time, managerial skills, Laxminarayan Malu gave considerable financial aid to the school.To pay tribute to his contribution, the NES, renamed the school after his name in 1987. In 1986, The Govt of Maharashtra honoured the school as Ideal School.

Present Status :

Today the school is on the waves of populatity in Jaysingpur town.To keep abreast with the modern education methods, the school has started E-learning, LED screen teaching. There are facilities of computer education, technical education, E-Library in our school. Arts like painting, singing, music etc, satisfy our emotional thirst. Every child has an inner urge to learn one of the arts. Taken into consideration all these things, the school has taken initiative & formed our own orchestra. The school has a separate art gallery also. These events are the feathers in the Cap of Laxminarayan Malu High school, Jaysingpur.

Laxminarayan Malu high school is always at the spearhead in academic achievements.
In 1985, Manoj Bajaj topped himself in the 3rd position in the S.S.C. Board merit list whereas Ashwini Kulkarni at the 22nd rank, The remarkable S.S.C. results are sweet fruits of the tireless efforts taken by the teachers & students. In the year 2010-2011, 36 students secured above 90% marks, 12 Students above 95%, 4th standard scholarship exam – 12 , Middle school scholarship -17,
