The New Education Society’s

The New Education Society, Kolhapur established New English School, Nandani by the inspiration of Mr.G.S.Pujari who took the charge of Nandani High School, Nandani as a superintendent. He achieved a great success in this educational task. At the beginning, the institute got an old building on rental basis without any fascilities and began the work of educating the children. Further Nana Ambi, Bharma Narade, Dattu Nana Hajare, Devendra Nitave, Ramchandra Nalavade, and Mr.Murlidhar Mirajkar came forward and raised funds to provide educational facilities.

Mr.M.N.Aswale Deputy (Vice) Chairman of the New Education Society, Kolhapur and the chairman of school committee Nandani High School Nandami and Mr. Kallappa Hatigne, the Sarpanch of Nandani, other villagers and co-operative societies came forward to help the school on a large scale.

In 1969-70 with the help of above mentioned donars 13 rooms were built. The building was completed under the guidance of Savanta Devappa Magdum (Guruji) and the Head Master R.V.Kulkarni. The flow of students increased from nearby places such as Haroli, Jambhali, Malabhag, Adakewadi, Managave Kodi. The school provided the facilities of subjects like Agri and Work Experience according to the subjects interest.

Next the school began to provide technical education as well as the education depending on minimum skills since 1983-84 for the students of 8th to 10th standard. More than 200 students are taking the benefit of the technical education. The school began NCC since 1984 and MCC since 1997-98. Competitions such as Essay writing, Rangoli, Drawing and Elocution competition.

The school began ‘Information Technology’ a new subject by spending One Lakh Fifty Thousand rupees for the Computer Lab. Half of the Students from 5th to 9th are taking computer education. On behalf of Computer Dept. Computer general knowledge competitions are arranged.

The society runs a Junior K.G. and Senior K.G. in Marathi Medium. There are 115 children learning there. Different types of entertainment equipments are available for them such as sliding, swings, etc. with the financial help of 4 Lakh Rupees from Honourable Hemrajbhai Samani President, Governing Council. The New Education Society , Kolhapur, Mr.V.M.Kulkarni Sir, The Secretary and Mr.M.N.Aswale , Vice President of The New Education Society and some education devotees and the school staff erected a big hall for cultural programme.

The school has done a spectacular progress in the field of sports on National level in Kho-Kho. Miss Archana Tatoba Bhagate led the team of Maharashtra in Ranchi, Bihar in 1995-96. The School achieved a great success in archery in 1998-99 on zonal and state level. In the sports of archery students like Shamrav Katkar, Umesh Khatavkar, Kiran Kamble, Snehal Danke, Kanchan Chougule were selected on state level at Latur.

The school has stood first in clean and neat school competition arranged by the Headmasters Association Kolhapur. Mr.S.R.Patil Supervisor and the incharge Headmaster got the award of ideal teacher at district level.

Now a days there are 18 divisions in our school. All the facilities are available. Our SSC results are noteworthy. Students are making progress in the scholarship as well as NTS and NMMS competitive examinations. Hon. Mr.N.M.Aswale, Chairman and all the committee members always guide us.
