A PTA committee formed in 2007 helps to bridge the communication gap between parents and  Management. On 10th Jan 2011 the foundation of the new building was laid down consisting of well designed laboratories, classrooms, cultural hall, administrative blocks for each floor, rooms for Arts, Crafts, Dance, Music etc. for which generous contributions are being made by staff members of the New Education Society and also by parents of students of the V.G.E.M.S. Specifications :

towards the school funds, the school acquired the name“VIMALA GOENKA ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL” on 07/08/2008. Mrs. Sujata Lohia is looking after the administration of school alongwith Headmistress Mrs.Sayali Joshi. School Progress : The School proposes to expand upto std X by the year 2015-2016. Presently in 2018-19 the school consists of 1842 students with classes from Nursery till std.XII with total 40 divisions. The staff consists of well trained and qualified 76 teachers and 26 non-teaching members. • Teachers use the play way method of teaching in the early years of Pre-Primary classes. The primary school program provides best quality education in English Medium. It is a balanced program and allows each student to develop his / her personality in all areas of human development.
• A well equipped library aids the children to develop their knowledge and language. The updated computer laboratory enables the students to stay at the school.
• Several Competitions such as drawing, Poetry, Elocution, Storytelling, Flower Decoration, Vegetable Decoration, Best of Waste, Fancy dress, Debate, Talent Hunt are conducted as ‘Edutainment Activities’ which enable children to develop personality and confidence.
• Children are trained by special teachers in the school for State Scholarship Exam
• Children are guided and encouraged to appear and complete the State and National Level Competitive, G.K., English, Spelling, Maths, Computer exams.
• Children are coached by special sports coaches and visiting staff in Sports and Extra-Curricular activities such as football,  Teak wondo, Yoga, Chess, Karate, Music ,Dance, Rifle-Shooting, Swimming, Arts etc.
• Festivals are celebrated in school to imbibe cultural values in the minds of children.
• Hands on activities are conducted to help children have strong base of academics.
• Well equipped computer lab with internet connectivity & Smart classes (E-Learning) by Next Education Pvt. Ltd.

Upto now 200 students got district level Scholarship and 15 students stood in state level merit list. Miss Swarada Sandeep Kulkarni stood 1st (in state level) securing 300 out of 300 marks. Parents meetings are arranged in the school to solve the students problems. Annual School Gathering is an outstanding feature of our school. Various lectures, Celebration of ‘Ganesh Festival’, attractive parades , Annual sports competitions , well equipped computer lab , arrangement of personality development camps are the special features of our school. The School has a well equipped library. It contains 4000 books. Now our school is running uder the guidance of the renowned economist , Prof.S.K.Kulkarni.
