The school was established in 1970 with 17 students. The driving force behind the school was the love and affection late Mr.Madan Mohan Lohiaji, the then president of NES , had for the deaf and dumb students. The school was shifted in its new building in 1990. Late Mr.Madan Mohan Lohiaji had donated his personal land for the hostel of the students and the hostel was built in 2000. The school now has a special sound proof room for speech training. A listening test is conducted after every six months. The school has three main sections namely computer , electrical and fashion designing.
The ‘Adhar Vadhuvar Mandal ‘ of the school arranges get-together programmes for the settlement of marriages of such boys and girls and the mandal also tries to solve their after marriage problems. Kalatai Wacha State level competition 2011 prizes- first prize (9-12 age group) , second prize(12 to 15 age group) ; Daily Sakal Balmitra drawing competition(2007) second state level prize; Abilimplix competition(2008) 1st prize at district level; painting 1st prize; clay work 1st prize ; Rangoli 1st prize ; Sanskar Bharati National Level drawing competition (2008) consolation prize of Rs.1100/- ; Drawing competition 2003 – 3rd prize & many state level prizes in sports competitions; National level Swimming competition participation; District level world Handicap Day competitions – Sevevral prizes; National and state level open sea swimming competition prizes these are some of the major achievements of the school.
